Much like our beans our journey began in South America. Mayan and Inca culture have inspired our ethos at Kuka. The ancient people’s dependence and connection left thinking how can we do more to protect and preserve the natural world that we live in for generations to come.
Three school friends with a passion for coffee and cocktails returned from South America and began experimenting. Cold brew was the obvious choice. A naturally sweet coffee flavour without the bitterness of hot brew meant a product the can be used extensively in number of categories.
Life on the open ocean can be very demanding and not a particularly easy place to make coffee. For both John and George sailing is a big part of their lives. The question was...how to get good coffee in such a hostile environment? Again cold brewing was the answer.
